By starting the conversation with MBO, you can avail of up to $80,000 in business financing through our Impact Atlantic loan program and the loans offered by our partners.
Up to $50,000 available to entrepreneurs for business start-up or expansion costs.
Features: Low interest rates, flexible repayment terms, ongoing support, and business skills development opportunities through MBO.
Eligibility: Entrepreneurs age 18+ can apply.
The Impact loan is designed to meet small business lending needs within select Atlantic Canadian municipalities. Metro Business Opportunities is the sole provider of this loan program within St. John's and Mount Pearl.

Eligibility: Entrepreneurs age 35 and under, unable to obtain funding elsewhere, living in Newfoundland and Labrador.
This loan is meant to Kick$tart the future generation of entrepreneurs in Newfoundland and Labrador by providing low-interest loans to youth. Kick$tart is available to clients of Metro Business Opportunities as an affiliate member of the NL Association of CBDC's. Metro Business Opportunities is the sole provider of this loan program within St. John's and Mount Pearl.
Up to $45,000 available to entrepreneurs for business start-up costs.

Eligibility: Entrepreneurs starting a new business and between the ages of 18 and 39.
For eligible entrepreneurs seeking additional financing to start their business, Metro Business Opportunities can facilitate a loan through our partners Futurpreneur. By starting out with MBO, our team can leverage an approved Impact loan into additional lending from partners such as Futurpreneur.
Up to $20,000 available to entrepreneurs for business start-up or expansion.
For 19 and older eligible entrepreneurs who do not have permanent resident status at time of application.
For larger business start-up or expansion costs.
Metro Business Opportunities has a strong partnership with the Business Development Bank of Canada. For those needing business financing above what is offered from MBO, our helpful staff can connect them with loan officers at the BDC. Plus, a loan from MBO can often be leveraged into additional financing from BDC, and make your business a more attractive candidate for other loans.
